Nestle Bangladesh stands by Distressed people during Covid 19 - Fintech

Nestlé Bangladesh Limited in this pandemic situation stands by the distressed people and donated nutritious Nestlé food products to Prime Minister’s Relief & Welfare Fund, Sajida Foundation and around 1,000 distressed families in Sreepur in response to COVID-19 pandemic as a part of its overall commitment of BDT 10 million.

“Nestlé has always been a part of the society from its inception in this country and today once again, the entire team has come forward by being a contributor for helping the distressed in this critical COVID-19 situation. In this national crisis, we pledge to stand by the country by helping the people in need. Staff contribution reflects our core value and just fraction of our commitment to the society. By doing this, we are doing our part of returning to the society, paying it forward for many to come along and we are proud to be doing the best we can”, says Deepal Abeywickrema, Managing Director.

The employees also voluntarily joined hands together with the organization contributing a part of their salary to support the communities. With the number of Corona infected patients increasing day by day and with weeks of lockdown, it was important to address the distressed people’s challenge of meeting the need of daily foods.

Nestlé Bangladesh Limited is also among few organizations to continue its operations on a pragmatic scale to ensure availability of essential foods in the country for its consumers to support humanity.
