GP thanks the customers for winning Superbrands Award

Connectivity partner to Digital Bangladesh, Grameenphone has won the Superbrands Bangladesh award yet again and has expressed gratitude towards people of Bangladesh including their subscribers and all other stakeholders for whom, Grameenphone could attain this special recognition.

Superbrands is a globally-acknowledged arbiter for brands that have been skillfully assessing various aspects of brand activities across countries since 1994. Superbrands Bangladesh primarily underwent three critical criteria – Quality, Reliability, and Distinction – to shortlist the top brands for the award ‘Superbrands Bangldesh’s Choice 2020 – 21’. In the secondary phase, shortlisted brands were scrutinized based on – Category Relevance, Longevity, Goodwill, Customer Loyalty, and Overall Market Acceptance – which led to the final selection of the winners. Grameenphone won the award along with 39 other prominent organizations of Bangladesh.

Besides serving its customers with simplified solutions, Grameenphone stepped up since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to extend their responsible business practices and support the ailing economy with every opportunity. With timely and benevolent initiatives like ‘Dakche Amar Desh’ and ‘Bangladesh Challenge’ and real-time Talktime facilitations to one crore customers, PPE donations to doctors in DGHS hospitals, special internet packages for doctors under DG health, and more – Grameenphone tried its best in unleashing possibilities over the past year, which played a pivotal role in being recognized as a Superbrand.

Sajjad Hasib, Chief Marketing Officer of Grameenphone, said, I take this opportunity to thank our customers, partners and stakeholders for keeping trust in us and help us become superbrands—a testimonial to our persistent efforts over more than 23 years in Bangladesh as connectivity partner. We always try to understand customers needs and innovate to serve them better. With this announcement, we are equally inspired and committed to delivering more – we dedicate this award to all our beloved customers.”

Superbrands is known for its transparent and rigorous assessment process, which involves the participation of independent and neutral moderators from various branding, marketing, and service evaluation industries.

Grameenphone has now won this accolade consecutively in recent years.
